As stated in the General Information section, the evaluation of this course relies exclusively in self-evaluation. The students must understand the theory and seminar topics and perform all the laboratory works to acquire the necessary knowledge to pass this course. To do that, the course elements provide a series of elements that help students to keep track of their work easier.

Theory and seminar topics have at the end of each presentation a slide that compiles all the important topics that have been reviewed all through the corresponding topic. Concepts are also classified by difficulty using badge images (bronze, silver, and gold), and all of these slides look like this:

The goal of this final slide is precisely to help students to keep track of their work and progress, so they can take notes about the concepts they had understood or not. This also ensures that they can take the corresponding laboratory activities with more guarantees of not being stuck in some of them.

Laboratory activities also use this technique, but the number of badges is greater, because they have a far greater amount of activities to perform. These look like this:

The table itself has a small section on each row to enable the students to mark if they have done the corresponding activity. However, the interesting part of performing the lab activities is to document the procedure itself, so it can be repeated in the future if required. To do this, each laboratory has a corresponding .csv file that contains the lab badge table in text format, so the students may use this to create its own laboratory procedure documentation. The course also provides the auxiliary material “Usage suggestions of the badge tables to take notes of your lab activities” to help convert these .csv files to other more suitable formats to keep track of the work.

Therefore, the final evaluation product are these activity work reports, so the students can consult them in the future when some of them may be required to fulfill a task.
